Kim Martinez
Founder and Director Kim Martinez is a certified early childhood and elementary teacher with 35+ years experience in education. A mother of three and passionate about dual language education, she founded the highly successful Conmigo Spanish Program in 2005. Kim and her family spend summers in Mexico, immersing themselves in the rich Mexican culture, food, and language. She brings to Conmigo creativity, enthusiasm for all things Latin, attention to detail, and an amazing ability to multi-task.
Yosmary Pastran
Ms. Yosmary comes with a wealth of experience working with children of all ages, both in her home country of Venezuela as well as here in the Houston area. Yosmary has a degree in Pre School Education from Instituto Universitario AVEPANE, Caracas, Venezuela. Her teaching style is energetic and engaging. She is the mother of two and and in her free time, enjoys the beach and creating photo memory books. Ms. Yosmary is well rounded and a valued member of Team Conmigo- teaching Bebé y Yo, Spanish with Me, Spanish with Friends as well as lead teacher of Games during summer camp.
pamela merhan
Ms. Pamela was born in Houston, but her heart and family are all from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up, she lived in Venezuela and Argentina where she learned to speak Spanish as her first language. Pamela completed her studies in Houston, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a masters degree in Social Work. She worked as a child psychotherapist for over six years, and now enjoys caring for her son, Lucas and daughter Alexandra. Pamela has been with Conmigo since 2013 in various roles. She is currently teaching the Friday Spanish with Friends class .
Sheila ramirez
Ms. Sheila is originally from the coastal city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. She is married to a Louisiana native, and together, they are raising their two daughters in a bilingual home. Sheila enjoys sharing her culture with the children and their grown-ups in the Spanish with Me classes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, working out and learning to cook new dishes. Ms. Sheila teaches weekly Spanish with Me enrichment classes. She is also part of our Summer Camp team.
Silvia Browne
Ms. Silvia is passionate, energetic and caring. She is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. Born and raised in Colombia. After graduating from college with a degree in Finance and working at a corporate job she found her real passion in working with kids and teaching them Spanish through songs, games and fun activities. In addition to working with Conmigo, Silvia is a part time nanny and certified yoga instructor. In her spare time Silvia enjoys dancing to Latin rhythms, practicing yoga, and traveling. Silvia is currently exploring the world with her husband but will be back with us very soon!
Liliams (Ms. Lily) Carrillo
Ms. Lily was born and raised in Venezuela. She has been a Spanish educator for the the past 15 years, working in schools as well as offering private Spanish tutoring to children. She has a major in Marketing and is a certified Life-Coach. She uses tools from both marketing and Life-Coaching to make her language classes interactive and fun for her students. She enjoys witnessing the children progress in a second language. Ms. Lily has taught at Conmigo in different roles over the years including Spanish with Friends, Zoom Spanish classes during 2020, and currently the Friday Spanish with Me teacher. Lily also in part of our summer camp team.
Liliams is a proud wife, mother and grandmother who enjoys spending time with family.
Diana Herran
Ms. Diana is proud of her Peruvian roots. Although she holds a degree in marketing, she has extensive volunteer experience teaching and working with children, particularly those suffering from cancer in her home country. Diana has a deep passion for caring for others and giving back to her community. She has been a valued member of Team Conmigo for the past year, working with our Conmigo Comes to You program at Zion Lutheran Preschool and lead cooking teacher at Camp Conmigo! This Fall, Ms. Diana will be back with the children of Zion and join us on campus as the Monday Spanish with Friends teacher.
A mother of two, Diana and her family enjoy sports, particularly fútbol. She also enjoys reading and exploring international cuisine. She is excited to share her background and enthusiasm with the families of Conmigo.
